Ganesh Chaturthi 2018 – Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the Hindu festival celebrated in India. I hope you all know about Durga Puja i.e. Navratri, Yes just like that, Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day festival that reveres God Ganesha. This time Ganesh Chaturthi 2018 is on 13th Sep. On this day people worship lord Ganesha and serve the prasad (sweets). People welcome Lord Ganesha by beating drum, dancing, singing and many other ways.

Ganesh Chaturthi is also known as – Vinayaka Chaturthi, Ganesh Mahotsav, as God Ganesha has 108 different names. When is Ganesh Chaturthi 2018

Ganesh Chaturthi typically fall on the month of August or September. It is celebrated on the forth day of Hindu luni-solar calendar month, Bhadrapada. This year i.e. Ganesh Chaturthi 2018 is going to be held on 25th August till 3rd of September.
As I told above, it’s a festival of ten-days. On the 11th day i.e. on 4th of September, this day is also known as Ganesh Virsarjan, that means, it’s a last day of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi 2018. On the 10th day, the statue of lord Ganesha been immerse in lake or river saying Bye with slogan – “Ganpati Babba Morya, Agle Varsh tu Jaldi Aa“.
